Huh, I didn't realize that it'd been about a year since I last posted to this journal. I lose track of time way too easily. Not much has been going on since then. I'm still unemployed and all that jazz. Whoo.
My secondary characters need more attention. Whenever I actually doodle something, it always seems to be Addie (better known as Kahvie and "that stupid thing with dumbo ears"). Not that I've been drawing much at all, of course. I just never have any ideas. My life is ridiculously uneventful, after all. Eh.
In all honesty, I've been trying to at least sketch a lot more, but I'm so obsessive about things that I never even start due to not feeling like I know exactly what I want to draw and then worrying that it won't turn out the way I want it to. It's a vicious, irritating cycle. In response to people I'm acquainted with in my life commenting on the fact that I never seem to produce any artwork anymore, I'm fairly sure that the reason I used to sketch or otherwise complete pieces much more often a few years ago was because I was forced to sit at desks for hours while attending high school, and I don't actually have a desk in my home that is comfortable to draw on. I also don't have the attention span to complete artwork in one sitting, so. Blargh. Rambling and boring crap.

I love Echo, it's good to see you drawing her again!
When are you going to give me a chance to collect some of her pics?
If you'd like this one, I wouldn't mind shipping it to you:). The paper it's on
has some creases and is a little wrinkled near the bottom as well due to being splashed while I was sketching by a pool, though (I tend to not take care of sketches after they've been scanned, it's a crappy habit><). I'll also draw out some new Echo sketches as soon as possible to send to you as well, as she does need more artwork of her:P.
I still have that one in my old "portfolio" binder, it's one of my favorites:). I just remembered that I said I'd color her for you, too. Sorries:<. I could still do so if you'd like though...do you have a medium preference (I can currently do markers or colored pencils)?
(Oh, before I forget, do you have a Facebook account? That's the main website I loiter around on nowadays:P)
Oh, that would be awesome! Thanks!
I was afraid she got lost or damaged with your move and stuff.
I think the softer look of colored pencils would go wonderful with her classic beauty.
Ya know, no good deed shall go unpunished! I've been getting random inspirations to make stuff lately. You never know, you might be my next victim! ;-)
I've been avoiding Facebook, but if it's the only way I can keep in touch with you, I might have to reconsider. o.0
The binder that the sketch is in was one of the few things I took with me when I started living on the East coast; I carried it pretty much everywhere I went during my high school years, so it's kind of a sentimental thing x3.
Aww, Facebook's not so bad:B. I use it mainly to keep up with family and family friends, as well as close real life friends and online friends.
I guess I've avoided Facebook mostly because it's one more thing I'd feel compelled to check every day. I've pretty much dropped offline other than LJ and FA. I was trying to keep up with DA, but it was too much.
Do you post a lot to Facebook?
I always have tons of tabs open in Firefox when I'm online, so I'm basically always on Facebook xD. I probably only post updates to my page once a week or so, so most of my activity there is really commenting on and "liking" other peoples' updates, pictures, etc.
Yeah, I've usually got a dozen tabs open myself! LOL!
Your making it very hard to resist!
*whimpers* But, I have a hard enough time keeping up with LJ and FA... *sad puppy eyes*
Aww, well, I'll just have to try to stay much more active here:P. If you ever do find yourself with a Facebook account though, I'm on there with the url username of paintedadelaide
or through searching for Marit Vikström:3.
If I start an account there, you will be the first person I add! *hugs you tightly*
You can always catch me on IM too! ;-)
Eek, sorry, I know I'm never on IM anymore:<. With the physical and cognitive symptoms I have, it's really difficult for me to sit at my comp for long periods of time and type quickly, and then I always feel rude when I have to sign out after only a few minutes, therefore I tend to keep to email and other non-IM methodsD:. I'll try getting online whenever I have "good" days though. Of course, you're also always welcome to get in touch with me through email or comments, too:3!
Aww, I understand about your situation and that you can't be on for long. And don't worry about writing slow, I read slow anyway! ;-)
Thanks! And your always welcome to write me too! I love getting mail! :-D
Well, so long as you're sure you wouldn't mind short chat sessions, long silences between messages and frequent dyslexic-ish typos xD.
Sweetie, I'm your friend and I care about you! I understand your situation and am just glad to here from you when your able. I do worry when you disappear for a long time though, so please just keep me updated when you can, Ok? *big hugs*
